You may have heard the shocking statistics about our Military Veterans returning home to find themselves contemplating suicide and often struggling with depression and having a low quality of life. It is impacting a wider range of ages than most people realize.

1) Taking time to Listen
2) Encourage healthy Sleep habits
3) Encourage them to strengthen their Support Network
4) Sometimes its okay to Cry
5) Give them a Ride
6) Help them to get Gifts to their Special People
7) Help them to prepare a Moping Escape Plan
8) Help them to Face their Fears
9) Help them to not be alone during Holidays and Special Occasions
10) Help your Veteran see the Photos they Love
11) Help them to Laugh
12) Consider our 4-Legged Friends
13) Help a Veteran to Reduce their Frustrations
14) Share a Meal with your Veteran
15) Music can be Uplifting and Inspirational
16) Religion and Spiritual Growth
17) Meditation
18) Encourage a Healthy Diet and Exercise
19) Encourage them to do something outside of their Norm
20) Encourage Realistic Expectations
21) Help your Veteran to get more Organized
22) It’s only "what is" and "what can be" that matters
